Kirk F. Mitchell, age 50, of Marcellus, MI passed away Sunday February 7, 2016 with his family by his side.
He was born May 14, 1965 in Cook County, IL the son of Fred C. and Irene F. (Chval) Mitchell. On June 23, 1984 in Lawton, MI he married Amy J. Haas who survives.
Kirk served in the U.S. Army and was employed as a Business Sales Engineer for GTE/Verizon for 26 years. Family was everything to Kirk and he never met anyone he didn’t consider family. He was a great father and husband. He truly enjoyed cooking and entertaining everyone and will be sorely missed.
Surviving besides his wife Amy are two daughters, Jesica (Eric) Poulsen and Chelsea (Todd Machan) Mitchell both of Kalamazoo; one brother, Mark Mitchell. and his mother-in-law Diana Haas. He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister Nanci.
The family will receive friends from 10AM to 12PM Thursday, February 11, 2016 in the Mater-Ralston Funeral Home, Marcellus. Memorial services will follow at Noon.
