Kenneth Clay Kaylor, age 90, of Marcellus passed away Wednesday morning on March 20, 2019.
Kenneth was born April 26, 1928 in Allegan, MI, the son of Leon and Susie A. (Ferguson) Kaylor.
In Winter of 1949, Kenneth married Jayne Baas, whom together had three children; one daughter: Susan Kaylor of Columbia, SC and two sons: Gary (Dee) Kaylor and Steven (Linda) Kaylor both of Tennessee, who survive.
On October 13, 1972, he married Jeanne Dare in Dowagiac, MI. They were married 25 years before Jeanne passed away on October 21, 1997.
Kenneth survived by tone sister : Sandra (Mark) Pitney of Raleigh, NC, one brother: Neil (Tanya) Kaylor of Allegan, two half siblings: Kathy (Jim) Jackson & Don (Judy) Osterhaut., several grandchildren, many great grandchildren, several great-great grandchildren, brother in law: Bob Leverich of Otsego, sister in law Deb Kaylor, and many nieces and nephews.
Kenneth served as mechanic in the United States Army where he gained the Victory Medal in WWII and Army of Occupation Medal while in Japan. He was a lifelong member of V.F.W. Post 4054, of the N.R.A., and a member of the American Legion. Kenneth had a passion for dogs and was a part of a Doberman Rescue team for 15 years.
Kenneth is preceded in death by both parents: Leon and Susie A. (Ferguson) Kaylor, his previous wives: Jayne Baas and Jeanne Dare, three sisters: Nicky Leverich, June & Marty Nielsen, Linda & Don Watson, and one brother Peter Kaylor.
The family would like to welcome friends for a memorial service at Fort Custer 15501 Dickman Rd, Augusta, MI 49012 on April 1, 2019 at 11:30 AM. Memorial donations may be directed to the SPCA of Southwest Michigan 6955 West KL Ave, Kalamazoo, MI 49009. Online condolences may be left at www.materralstonfuneralhome.com .
