Joanna Zimmerman, of Marcellus Michigan, passed away at home surrounded by family.

She was born in Three Rivers MI, June 25, 1952, the daughter of John Henry Claridge and Mary Ann (Pettibone) Claridge.

On October 1, 1982, in Kalamazoo MI she married Paul D. Zimmerman Sr. who preceded her in death.

Joanna & Paul were founding members of Old Iron Motorcycle Club. They spent many years organizing & running events within the club where she enjoyed spending time with her “biker” family.

Joanna also spent several years managing Spirit Springs Farm, a family-operated apple orchard, where she developed an extensive knowledge of antique apple varieties.

An avid gardener and crafter, Joanna enjoyed traveling around the world with Paul. She was a passionate woman who wore her heart on her sleeve. Her biggest fulfillment came from spending time making memories with family & friends.

Joanna is survived by her son Joe (Kim) Zimmerman, sisters; Amy (Steve Burrows) Sehy, Beth (Alan) Sampsell; 5 grandchildren, Joseph (Sam) Zimmerman, Makenzie Garcia, Jake (Meghan) Zimmerman, Justice Zimmerman, Grace Zimmerman; nieces Mary (Fred) Sibley, Kelly (Darrell) Sehy; great nephew Hunter (Makenna) Sibley; great niece Jade Sibley and 5 great-grandchildren.

Joanna is preceded in death by her parents John and Mary Ann Claridge, husband Paul D. Zimmerman, son Paul D. Zimmerman Jr., one granddaughter, one great-grandson and her beloved dog Blizzard.

Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will take place at a later date. Memorial donations may be directed to Centrica Care Hospice. Online condolences may be left at www.materralstonfuneralhome.com .
