Jesse "Jim" J. Kindig

Jesse "Jim" J. Kindig, age 76 of Marcellus, MI passed away Saturday, November 9, 2013 at the Battle Creek VA Medical Center.
He was born August 1, 1937 in Vestula, IN the son of Harry J. and Elsie V. (Blough) Kindig. On June 29, 1957 in Jones, MI he married Janice Y. Martineau who survives.
He served in the United States Air Force from 1957 to 1963 and was a local farmer all his life. He was a member of the District 4 Holstein Association and the Farm Bureau for many years.
Surviving besides his wife Janice, are four sons, James E., Jesse E. (Galina), Joey J. (Angi) and John L. Kindig all of Marcellus; two sisters, Mildred I. Beers of Texas and Desse Parker of IN; one brother, Richard W. (Joyce) Kindig of Cassopolis, MI; 3 grandchildren and 2 step-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 3 to 6 P.M. Tuesday, November 12, 2013 in the Mater-Ralston Funeral Home, Marcellus.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, November 13, 2013 at the Howardsville Gospel Church, Howardsville, MI with Kirby Johnson officiating. Burial will follow at Poe’s Cemetery.
Memorials may be directed to the Howardsville Church/School or to the VA Paralyzed Veterans Recreation Fund.
