Carroll J Ivens, age 77, of Marcellus, MI passed away Saturday, September 21, 2013 in his home.
He was born September 11, 1936 in Decatur, MI, the son of Harold and Pearl (Stafford) Ivens. On October 22, 1956 in Cassopolis, MI he married Janet D. Bass who survives.
Carroll was a former member of the Marcellus Auxiliary Police Department. He coached Little League, loved to fish, deer hunt and golf. He was an avid camper at Goff Lake.
Surviving besides his wife Janet, are two daughters, Sandra (Wendell) Pompey of Marcellus and Diane (Edgar) Wilson of Ada, MI; three sons, Larry (Ellen) Ivens of Marcellus, Gregory (Rhonda) Ivens of Cassopolis and Bruce Ivens of Kalamazoo, MI; one sister, Ruth Newton of Cassopolis, one brother, Kermit Ivens of Jones, MI; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren and several nieces & nephews.
The family will receive friends Wednesday, September 25, 2013 from 5 to 8 P.M. in the Mater-Ralston Funeral Home, Marcellus.
Funeral services will be held at 11 A.M. Thursday, September 26, 2013 in the funeral home.
